Recite the Quran More Carefully and Confidently

Reading the words of the Quran and reciting them correctly are skills that develop through careful listening, regular practice and correction. This course is designed for students who want to strengthen their recitation while learning the Tajweed principles that apply to what they are reading.

Rather than treating Tajweed only as a list of rules to memorize, lessons connect those rules with actual Quran recitation. The student reads directly to the teacher, receives correction and then practices the word or passage again. This makes it easier to understand how a rule sounds when it is applied.

Particular attention is given to Makharij, the correct articulation of Arabic letters. Students work on sounds that they find difficult and learn to distinguish between letters that may initially sound similar. Small pronunciation improvements can make a noticeable difference in the clarity of recitation.
